Front and Rear Scaffolds for General Repairs in Camden Town, North London (Alarmed Scaffold)

B-MAT Scaffolding were instructed to provide front and rear scaffold access to a residential property in Camden Town, North London, to support a programme of general repair and maintenance works. Due to the busy urban location and high pedestrian activity typical of Camden, additional safety and security measures were incorporated into the scaffold design.
The scaffold was erected as a fully TG21 compliant independent structure to both the front and rear elevations, providing safe, stable access for contractors to carry out repairs at height. All working platforms were fully boarded and fitted with double guardrails, toe boards, and safe access ladders in accordance with current UK scaffolding legislation and SG4 working at height guidance.
Given the property’s location on a well-used street, the scaffold was fitted with a scaffold alarm system to prevent unauthorised access outside of working hours. This enhanced security measure helps protect the public, reduces the risk of vandalism or misuse, and provides added reassurance for residents and the client alike.
Careful consideration was given to maintaining clear access around the property, ensuring pedestrian routes remained unobstructed and that disruption to neighbouring properties was kept to an absolute minimum. Our experienced team coordinated closely with the client to ensure installation and dismantling were carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed schedules.
