Scaffolding for Asbestos Fascia & Guttering Works for Sanctuary Housing in Rayleigh, Essex
Location: Hartford close Rayleigh Southend SS9
As part of an ongoing Sanctuary Housing maintenance programme, B-MAT Scaffolding was instructed to provide safe and compliant access scaffolding to a further property on Hartford Close, Rayleigh, Essex. This installation supported the replacement of aging asbestos fascia boards and the installation of new rainwater goods.
Although located on the same road as previous works, each property presented its own access, layout, and resident considerations. Our team treated this installation as a standalone project, carrying out a site-specific assessment to determine the most appropriate scaffold configuration for safe and efficient delivery of the works.
A fully boarded independent scaffold was erected to the required elevations, providing continuous, stable access along the fascia line. This allowed licensed contractors to safely remove the existing asbestos materials and install new guttering without reliance on ladders or temporary access methods.
Given the presence of hazardous materials and the occupied nature of the property, safety and control were prioritised throughout. Scaffold positioning was planned to maintain clear resident access, protect surrounding areas, and support controlled removal and replacement works.
