B-MAT Scaffolding was appointed to provide a full front elevation scaffold at a residential property in Notting Hill, West London, to enable rendering works and the complete restoration of the front façade.
The scaffold was designed to fully clad the front elevation, providing continuous and safe access across all working levels. This allowed contractors to carry out surface preparation, rendering, and finishing works efficiently and to a high standard without the need for temporary access solutions.
Installed as an independent scaffold, the structure included fully boarded working platforms positioned at multiple lift levels to support each stage of the restoration process. This ensured operatives could move safely and comfortably across the façade while maintaining productivity.
Particular attention was given to protecting the building and surrounding area during the rendering works. The scaffold layout allowed for safe handling of materials and controlled application of finishes, helping to achieve a consistent and high-quality result across the elevation.
All scaffolding was erected by trained and qualified operatives in accordance with TG21 guidance and SG4 safe working at height principles. Guardrails, toe boards, and secure ladder access were installed as standard to provide effective fall prevention and a safe working environment throughout the duration of the project.
Given the prominent location in Notting Hill, care was taken to maintain a tidy and well-managed site, with minimal disruption to neighbouring properties and pedestrian access routes.
The scaffold was inspected on completion and maintained in a safe and compliant condition for the duration of the rendering works. Once the façade restoration was completed, the scaffold was dismantled promptly and safely in line with the agreed programme.
