B-MAT Scaffolding was instructed to provide a fully compliant access scaffold to two elevations of a residential property in Tottenham, North London, as part of an ongoing local council repair and maintenance contract. The scaffold was required to enable safe and efficient replacement of defective guttering while maintaining resident safety and minimal disruption.
The project involved cladding the relevant elevations in scaffold to provide continuous access along the gutter runs. This allowed maintenance contractors to carry out removal and replacement works safely at height, without the need for repeated repositioning of access equipment.
All scaffolding was erected as an independent structure and installed in full compliance with TG21 guidance and SG4 working-at-height principles. Fully boarded working platforms were provided at the appropriate levels, complete with double guardrails, toe boards, and secure access points to ensure a safe working environment throughout the duration of the works.
As this project formed part of a live local authority contract, additional care was taken to ensure the scaffold met council standards for safety, consistency, and site management.
