B-MAT Scaffolding was instructed to provide a scaffolding access tower at a residential property in
Finsbury Park, North London, as part of an ongoing local authority repair and
maintenance contract. The scaffold was required to allow safe access for a bricklayer to replace a
damaged window sill at height.
The project required a compact and efficient access solution that could be installed quickly while
maintaining full safety compliance within a live residential environment. A scaffold access tower was
selected as the most appropriate solution, providing a stable, fully boarded working platform positioned
directly adjacent to the affected elevation.
The access tower enabled the bricklayer to safely remove the broken sill and carry out the replacement
works without reliance on ladders or temporary access methods. This ensured the repair could be completed
efficiently while reducing risk to operatives and occupants of the property.
All scaffolding was erected by trained and qualified operatives in accordance with TG21 guidance
and SG4 working-at-height principles. The tower included secure ladder access, guardrails,
and toe boards to provide effective fall prevention and a safe working environment at all times.
As this project formed part of a local authority contract, particular attention was given to resident
safety and site management. The access tower footprint was kept to a minimum, ensuring entrances, walkways,
and communal areas remained clear and accessible throughout the works.
The scaffold was inspected on completion and maintained in a safe and compliant condition for the duration
of the brickwork repairs. Once the works were completed, the access tower was dismantled promptly and safely
in line with the agreed programme.
This Finsbury Park project demonstrates B-MAT Scaffolding’s ability to deliver practical, safety-led
access solutions for small-scale repair works within local authority housing stock. Whether
supporting brickwork, window repairs, or general maintenance, we provide reliable scaffolding services
tailored to council requirements across North London.
Short / Long Term Scaffolding Hire
When it comes to construction, renovation or property maintenance, having the right scaffolding solution in place is essential for safety, efficiency and compliance. Whether you are a homeowner needing temporary access to your roof for a few weeks, a building contractor overseeing a large commercial development, or a property manager planning long-term works, reliable scaffolding hire makes all the difference.
Scaffold Platforms
Scaffold platforms are an essential part of safe and efficient construction, repair, and maintenance projects across London and Essex. Whether you are working on a residential property in need of external access, a commercial building requiring large-scale scaffolding, or specialist works where stability and safety are critical, having the right scaffold platform in place ensures both productivity and compliance with health and safety standards.
Scaffolding / Access towers
When working at height, safety and stability are vital. That’s why so many homeowners, builders, and contractors rely on scaffolding and access towers for their projects across London and Essex. Whether you’re repairing a roof, painting the exterior of a property, or carrying out commercial maintenance, access towers provide a secure platform that allows work to be completed safely, quickly, and efficiently.
Replacing Fascias / Gutters
Fascias, soffits and gutters are vital parts of any building. They protect your property from water damage, keep your roofline secure, and ensure rainwater is directed away from walls and foundations. Over time, however, fascias and gutters can become damaged, weathered or blocked — leading to leaks, rot, damp and expensive repairs. Replacing fascias and gutters often requires safe access to awkward roof edges and upper storeys. That’s why professional scaffolding hire is essential. Our company provides specialist scaffolding hire for replacing fascias and gutters in London, Essex and Hertfordshire, with flexible short and long term hire options for homeowners, builders and roofing contractors.
House Refurbishment
House refurbishment projects come in all shapes and sizes, from small cosmetic upgrades to full-scale structural renovations. Whether you are modernising an older property, restoring a period home, or simply upgrading your roofline and windows, one thing remains constant: safe access is vital. Professional scaffolding hire ensures that every stage of a refurbishment project can be carried out safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
