B-MAT Scaffolding was instructed under a Sanctuary Housing planned maintenance programme to provide safe access scaffolding to a further property on Hartford Close in Rayleigh, Essex. The scaffold supported the removal of asbestos-containing fascia boards and the installation of new guttering.
This installation formed part of a coordinated programme of works across multiple properties, requiring consistency, reliability, and strict adherence to housing association standards. Each property was assessed individually to ensure the scaffold configuration was appropriate for its layout and access constraints.
A fully boarded independent scaffold was erected to the required elevations, providing continuous access along the fascia line. This allowed licensed asbestos contractors to work methodically and safely without the need for temporary or ladder-based access.
All scaffolding was installed in accordance with TG21 guidance and SG4 safe working at height principles. Regular inspections were carried out to ensure the scaffold remained safe, stable, and compliant for the duration of the works.
