Front Elevation Scaffolding for Roof Inspection & Repairs in Catford, Lewisham, South London
Location: Killearn Road SE BW Lewisham South London SE6 1BW
B-MAT Scaffolding was appointed to provide front elevation access scaffolding at a residential property in Catford, Lewisham, South London, to allow roofing contractors safe access to inspect and repair a leaking roof.
The scaffold was designed to fully clad the front elevation of the property, providing continuous and stable access along the roofline. This enabled roofers to carry out a detailed inspection, identify the source of water ingress, and undertake necessary repair works safely and efficiently.
Installed as an independent scaffold, the structure provided fully boarded working platforms at the required height, complete with guardrails and toe boards. Secure ladder access was incorporated to ensure safe movement to and from the working levels throughout the duration of the works.
Given the residential setting and street-facing elevation, particular attention was given to public and resident safety. The scaffold footprint was planned to minimise obstruction at ground level while maintaining clear access to entrances and pedestrian routes.
All scaffolding was erected by trained and qualified operatives in accordance with TG21 guidance and SG4 safe working at height principles. The scaffold was inspected on completion and maintained in a safe and compliant condition for the duration of the roof inspection and repair works.
Once the roofing works were completed, the scaffold was dismantled promptly and safely in line with the agreed programme, ensuring minimal disruption to the property and surrounding area.
This Catford project demonstrates B-MAT Scaffolding’s experience in delivering safe, reliable access solutions for residential roof inspections and repairs across South London. From leak investigations to remedial works, we provide dependable scaffolding services that support efficient and compliant project delivery.
