B-Mat Scaffolding installed a scaffold access tower to the front elevation of a property in Leicester Road, Enfield, North London, complete with a walkway over the ridge to provide safe access to a rear dormer roof area.
This project required a bespoke access solution to safely reach a difficult rear roof section without direct ground access. Our design allowed operatives to access the rear dormer safely from the front of the property.

Bespoke Access Over Roof Ridge
Accessing rear dormers can be challenging where there is no safe or practical access from the rear of the property. In this case, we designed a bridged walkway over the roof ridge, allowing contractors to safely transition from the front scaffold tower to the rear working area.
The fully boarded walkway provided a stable and secure route, ensuring materials and operatives could move safely between elevations without risk.
Safety & Compliance
All works were carried out in accordance with current Work at Height Regulations and industry best practices. The scaffold was erected by CISRS-qualified operatives, with full guardrail systems, secure platforms, and protected access routes throughout.
The ridge walkway was constructed with careful consideration to stability and fall prevention, and the entire structure was inspected to ensure ongoing compliance and safety during the project.
