The company
Started in 2014 by people who had already spent a decade on the tube
B-MAT Scaffolding Ltd was set up in 2014 by a team of veterans of the scaffolding and construction industry, with over a decade of experience between its founding members before the company even existed.
That matters more than it sounds. It means the person who prices your job has built one like it, the person who designs the scaffold knows what it is like to carry a tube up six lifts, and nobody on site is learning on your building.
From the yard at Pecks Hill in Nazeing we work across London, Essex and Hertfordshire — and further into the East of England when the job suits. The work runs from a single access tower for a leak inspection to designed scaffolds on shopping centres, hospitals and schools.
Every one of our staff goes through a rigorous training process, and every scaffold is erected by CISRS-qualified scaffolders. Our accreditations — CISRS, CHAS and Constructionline Gold — back that up with independent verification rather than our word for it.

We are not trying to be the biggest scaffolding company in Essex. We are trying to be the one you ring again.
Short and long term hire, both commercial and residential. All work guaranteed and fully insured. Free consultations and free written quotations, so deciding whether to work with us costs you nothing but a phone call.

Safety before speed
Guard rails, toe boards, edge protection and controlled access points on every lift. Inspected before first use and every seven days after. If it is not right, it does not get handed over.

You speak to us, not a call centre
One number, answered by people who know your job. When a programme moves or you need an extra lift, you are not explaining it to a stranger from scratch.

Tidy up, and tidy off
Clean setup, clean dismantle, and consideration for your neighbours while the scaffold is up. Our customers mention it in their reviews more than anything else, which tells you something.

Homeowners, roofers, councils and housing associations
Roughly half our work is commercial and public sector, and a lot of it is repeat business from contractors who use us job after job.
Organisations named in our own project records include Sanctuary Housing Group, Haringey Council, The Broxbourne School, Milton Keynes Academy, Whipps Cross University Hospital, UCL, Wood Green Shopping Centre and Lewisham Shopping Centre. Alongside that we scaffold hundreds of ordinary houses — re-roofs, chimneys, extensions, gutters and rendering.
