Rubbish chutes supplied and fitted
Strip-out and demolition work makes a lot of mess, and all of it has to get to the ground. A rubbish chute does that in a straight line: debris drops from the working lift into a skip, with nobody carrying bags down a ladder and nothing landing where it should not.
Site kit
We supply and install chute systems on jobs across London, Essex and Hertfordshire — a single run off a domestic loft conversion, or a multi-lift chute on a block refurbishment. The chute is hung off the scaffold, braced properly and set over the skip position, so it stays put for the length of the job.

How the chute is hung
Chute sections lock together and hang from a scaffold tube fixed into the standing scaffold, not from the building. We tie the run back at intervals so it cannot swing when a full barrow-load goes down it, and we check the fixings when the scaffold gets its regular inspection. If the scaffold changes height, the chute changes with it.
Hoppers, skips and dust
A hopper at each lift means every level can load the chute without moving waste sideways first. At the bottom, the last section sits inside the skip so material lands in it rather than around it. Sheeting over the skip and a bit of water on dusty loads keeps the muck down — important on a street in London where the neighbours are right there.
Never throw debris off a scaffold
It still happens, and it is indefensible. A dropped brick from three lifts up will kill somebody. Throwing waste over the guard rail also means leaning over the edge, spreads dust across the site and leaves a mess that costs more to clear than the chute cost to hire. If material has to come down from height, it comes down inside a chute.
FAQs
Questions about rubbish chutes supplied and fitted
We do not supply skips, but we will tell you exactly where to put one and make sure the chute discharges into it cleanly. Get the skip booked for the position we agree at the site visit — if it needs to sit on the road, the council will want a permit for it.
Sometimes. We would need to look at it first, because the chute puts load and movement into the structure and we are not hanging one off a scaffold we cannot vouch for. If it is sound and properly tied, we can usually fit a run to it. If it is not, we will say so.
