Scaffolding in Wood Green, N22
We scaffold all over N22, from the terraces behind the High Road to the local authority blocks and estate housing around Noel Park. Some of it is straightforward roofing access on a Victorian house. Some of it is not: we have done a technical designed scaffold at Wood Green Shopping Centre, working around a live retail building and the public underneath it.
N22 / North London
We have been going since 2014 and N22 is regular work for us, including roofing scaffolds for local authority contracts and emergency work where a building has to be made safe and the public kept away. Every scaffolder is CISRS-qualified, we hold CHAS and Constructionline Gold, and scaffolds are inspected before first use and at intervals of no more than seven days after that.
Noel Park, Victorian terraces and blocks
N22 is three different jobs inside one postcode. Noel Park is a late-Victorian model estate put up by the Artizans, Labourers and General Dwellings Company, much of it now a conservation area, so what the front elevation looks like with a scaffold on it genuinely matters. On the older residential streets either side of the High Road — Granville Road and Pellatt Grove among them — houses run to two and three storeys with back additions and valley gutters. Then there are the council blocks, where a roof renewal means a long run of scaffold over flats that stay occupied.
Licences, shoppers and live frontages
Haringey is the highway authority in N22, so anything standing on the footway or the road needs a licence from them first. We put that in for you. The harder part in Wood Green is people. The High Road and the shopping centre stay open while the work goes on, which means fans, boarded and lit walkways, netting and debris protection over entrances, and much of the erecting done outside trading hours. In the Noel Park conservation area we keep the scaffold tight to the building and take extra care with the frontages.

Yes. If any part of the scaffold sits on the public highway or footpath, the highway authority has to licence it before it goes up. We handle the application, the drawings and the conditions that come with it — including lighting, hoarding and pedestrian protection where the council asks for them.
